Game play focus is on your starships. They're customizable and each one you (or your opponents) build makes them considerably more expensive than the last. The starships become your protagonists, each individually interesting, and the missions they embark on have something of the feel of Star Trek to them.
Starships Unlimited is a fast-paced game of space exploration and galactic warfare. The demo limits play to one replayable game (small galaxy, one opponent, limited tech tree) of 500 years. The full version has nearly 200 technologies to play with and an unlimited number of galaxies to play in.
